Tim's Twitter Listening Parties
Tim Burgess asked me to create a set of artworks for the #TimsTwitterListeningParty official website on timstwitterlisteningparty.com. We conceived how to visualise the lockdown sensation with music lovers worldwide all listening to the same album at the same time, while Tim and various bands, producers and others involved tweet along their memories, thoughts and experiences. I illustrated a set of 4 scenes, with diverse music lovers at home surrounded by their favourite albums (from the Listening Party roster).
You can also check out my Cover Versions which started as props in these scenes and become a project in itself!
In collaboration with Rough Trade and Dorling Kindersley, we also used the artwork as a limited edition mini-print, signed by Tim, which was included in the first 300 copies ordered through the Rough Trade online store.
For Summer 2022 I was asked to give the original illustration a little uplift to celebrate Tim taking the Listening Parties to The Blue Dot Festival!
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of David Bowie's classic 'The Rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars' album, a very special Listening Party was held, and we worked with The David Bowie Estate to create an official Ziggy Twitter emoji, plus, of course I illustrated Tim.
